Motu midi timepiece ii mtc to ltc12/11/2023 ![]() ![]() I spend 3 months with the Erm-Clock, this unit shines the most in dawless set up, you can do it in Bitwig with Expert Sleepers stuff. Have MTC, itll rebuffer a number of outputs and spit out LTC. Thus it came as no surprise when fellow Americans (and MOTUs main rivals) Opcode unleashed their own multi-port, multi-output interface, the Studio 5, back in 1991. And drive everything from a MMC controller, computer sequencer or digital audio workstation. As a unique solution to the Mac MIDI bottleneck, and a synchroniser/MIDI processor to boot, the £554.95 MIDI Time Piece has been extremely successful. Choose any one device as the master all the rest slave precisely and reliably. ![]() The Expert Sleepers way is the most accurate and tightest and if you want even tighter drum sounds then CV is the best, which is the reason I got the Es-5 and Squid Slample(waiting for Assimila8or), you can use ES-9 outs also to Eurorack module. If you work with timecode a lot, I would say it is a must-have item. The Digital Timepiece is the first synchronizer to lock them all together with a stable, high-resolution time base - with no dithering, rounding, or software delays. If you are Logic user this is the best set up as you have delay compensation button in Logic that figures out the Midi latency, you can do this in Bitwig and it works, but a bit tighter on Logic. There is only one USB/MIDI interface that comes close to this tightness and that is Emagic Unitor 8 with Logic, because Apple wrote a driver for it in 2010 and believe it or not they just updated it on Mato work with M1 chips, it works fine on Intel computer as well. I have successfully slaved Akai MPC, SE-02 etc in Bitwig using this setup of ES-9, ES-5 and Esx-8MD, sending Midi clock from Bitwig is super easy in this set up and tight. ![]()
